if you don’t already know, i’m a cyclist and cycling fan. my beautiful wife paula co-edits the blog trust but verify. one of the blogs we’ve come to know throught her work is the fat cyclist blog. elden, the fat cyclist, began his blog as a means of charting his physical “rehabilitation” through cycling. but of late the blog has focused on fatty’s wife susan, who is battling breast cancer which has spread to her brain.
as is the norm in the cycling community, we support one another any way we can. food, spare tubes, a push up a tough hill. this time is the fat cyclist jersey.
paula purchased one for me for my 50th bday which is coming up on 6.26. this 2008 model [500 jerseys] sold out completely in 12 hours. the mens pink version sold out in 8 minutes.
win susan. go fatty.

truth is- i am a blogger. but as a teacher, the student blogs take precedence over my personal work. i’m still struggling with the flash site. i’m attempting to teach myself flash and its a complicated program.
its been a busy spring. usually things don’t get rolling in the wedding industry until may/june but this year has been very different. the front and back ends booked quickly, and the summer months filled in as usual. i might book one or two more for this year but i’m already pretty solid until mid-november.
the nice thing about this profession is the people i get to meet. a wedding day is an emotionally charged day, everyone is nervous and excited, and i get to walk in to the middle of it all and get an intimate view of two families becoming one. so many surprises, so many wonderful friendships that are struck that day. plus i get to eat cake…

the new flash site is taking longer than expected to build. i’ll be posting a beta in the next few days and will alert you all when its ready. in addition to a more user-friendly interface, the site will have the blog and a client forum where you can share ideas and comments with each other. all in all it looks to be a busy and exciting year.
