after a whirlwind tour of parts of a camera, which [that] i’m sure you all know up one side and down the other, we begin our photographic journey. your assignment is to make a set of five [5] photographs;

our first studio project is to learn what your camera will and will not do. the camera can be a limiting factor in your growth it is does not allow for certain control, such as shutter speed or depth of field. so get out your manuals, sit down with a cup of cocoa, and in your blog, journal, or altered book tell me everything you can about your camera- from make and model, to card type, to pixel count and sensor size. more is better here…
to the spring semester intro to digital photo. as we move into the crux of the biscuit please keep in mind that we have class members who have some photography background, some who have little or no experience, and some who are very knowledgeable already. so if the pace is too slow, or too fast it’s the nature of the beast- but fear not, for we will all learn bunches, share some laughs, and explore the nature and purpose of this medium as a group. no one goes it alone here.

just finished my 3rd Time_to_Teach seminar; at the STANYS conference in rochester, ny. a smallish but eager audience. 1 hour passed like 10 minutes. paula was there to facilitate and to critique my presentation. afterwords we went to the high falls historic area, then drove along the erie canal to albion, down to the thruway to the galleria for lunch @ cheesecake factory, then home.
we left the house at six, and were home around five this pm. i is tired…
